FORT WORTH, Texas - The women's tennis team continued play at the Conference USA Indoor Championships Saturday at TCU. Charlotte came up with three singles wins and two doubles wins.

In flight A singles, Alice Hansen was defeated in a pair of matches. First she lost to Jennifer Catuzzi of Cincinnati, 6-1, 5-7, 10-3, then fell to East Carolina's Raluca Vaci, 3-6, 7-5, 10-6.

Jana Cucciniello posted a win for the 49ers, defeating Jennifer Seville from Southern Miss, 6-3, 6-3. She was defeated in the next round, however, by Maureena Parashakova, 2-6, 6-1, 10-4.

Jennifer Hatch defeated Laura Hughes of Memphis, in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1. She was defeated later by Greta Shakelserv from TCU, 6-0, 3-6, 10-8.

Lauren Hastings was defeated twice on Saturday by a pair of girls from DePaul. Natalie Matko won in the first match, 6-4, 6-0. Rachel Zaitsev won next, 7-6, 7-4, 6-3.

Courtney Clifford defeated Saint Louis' Rebecca Speer, 6-2, 6-0. She was defeated in the next round by Cincinnati's Samantha Liu, 6-4, 6-3.

In doubles play, the team of Cucciniello and Hansen beat the Southern Miss duo of Shawna Critz and Seville, 8-6. They then lost to Natalie Schwartz and Jack Spipikaric of South Florida, 8-1.

In flight B, Hatch and Hansen lost to East Carolina's team of Colleen Zupinsky and Speer, 8-3. In the back draw the were defeated by Marianna Tores and Paige Eber from Louisville, 8-6.

Clifford teamed with Memphis' Hughes for the second day, beating Christy Colsonelli and Speer from Saint Louis, 8-0.
