The pair of Ana Spivakovsky and Yudeshnee Pillay won all three of their number-one doubles matches in the weekend, with Pillay pulling out a victory at number-two singles on the weekend in the Charlotte women's tennis tournament, at the D.L Phillips Tennis Complex this weekend.
Pillay won her singles match in the early session on Saturday against Dariana Kozmina of Georgia State, while Kimber Redfern, Yana Stoeva and Candace Cunningham all won singles matches for Charlotte on Friday against players from UNC Greensboro.
Charlotte was shut out in singles play against Furman on Saturday afternoon.
Spivakovsky and Pillay won 8-2 in number-one doubles on Friday, with 8-0 and 8-3 doubles wins on Saturday. Only Furman's pair of Monica Arguello and Natasa Manojlovic were also able to win all three doubles matches in the round-robin tournament format.
