BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The women's tennis team continued their season at Campbell this weekend, playing in the Nisbet Tennis Tournament.

In flight A, Winthrop's Renata Caceres defeated Charlotte's Jana Cucciniello, 7-5, 6-0. She came back to earn a 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 win over Gardner-Webb's Hanazus.

Alexia Erb of Campbell defeated Alica Hansen, 7-6, 6-0 in the first round. Hansen came back to beat Gardner-Webb's Brandi Borders, 6-3, 6-3, but fell in the next round of the consolation bracket to Jennifer Jawssawall from NC State, 6-2, 6-2.

Judith Trunkos of Winthrop topped the 49ers Jennifer Hatch, 6-1, 6-1.

In flight B, the Niners' Courtney Clifford topped Campbell's Lindsey Hughes in the second round, 6-3, 6-0. She fell in the third round, however, to NC State's Myrna Bawano.

The 49ers' Lauren Hastings defeated Lorielle Ferlita from Gardner-Webb, 6-1, 6-0. Hastings then fell in the third round to Campbell's Teodora Doncheva, 6-0, 6-2.
