WILMINGTON, NC - The Charlotte 49ers women's tennis team completed play in their second tournament of the season in the UNC Wilmington Invitational. Sophomore Jennifer Hatch advanced to the finals of Flight C singles.
In Flight A singles, Charlotte's Ashleight Murray lost to Wyoming's Hancock, 6-1, 7-6. Charlotte's Laura Swain lost to Furman's Hagood, 7-5, 6-3, in other Flight A singles action.
In Flight B singles, Charlotte's Marilyn Clark lost to Davidson's Powell, 6-4, 6-4. Charlotte's Lindsay Morris defeated College of Charleston's Goffin, 6-1, 6-2, in other Flight B singles action.
In Flight C singles, Jennifer Hatch lost in the finals to Furman's Marti Morris, 6-2, 6-1. In other Flight C singles action, Charlotte's Courtney Clifford lost to Wyoming's Chien, 6-0, 6-0.
In Flight D singles action, Charlotte's Megan Bullins defeated Coastal Carolina's Younger, 6-1, 6-4.
In Flight A doubles action, Charlotte's Hatch and Murray defeated Wyoming's Hancock and Santi, 8-5. Also, in Flight A doubles, Charlotte's Morris and Swain defeated College of Charleston's Moreira and Hartung, 8-6.
