WILMINGTON, NC - The Charlotte 49ers women's tennis team concluded their second day of competition in the UNC Wilmington Invitational. Sophomore Jennifer Hatch advanced to finals of Flight C with a three set win over Krista Thomson of Furman.
In Flight A singles, Charlotte's Ashleigh Murray lost to Middle Tennessee State's, 6-2, 6-2.
In Flight A singles, Charlotte's Laura Swain defeated College of Charleston's Rachel Magory, 7-5, 6-3.
In Flight B singles, Charlotte's Marilyn Clark lost to College of Charleston's Jenna Marks, 6-2, 6-1. Then, she lost to UNC Wilmington's Sallie Kiser, 6-3, 6-1.
In Flight B singles, Charlotte's Lindsay Morris lost Furman's Natalie The, 6-1, 6-0.
In Flight C singles, Charlotte's Jennifer Hatch continued her strong play with a three set (6-1, 3-6, 6-3) win over Furman's Krista Thomson to advance to the finals of Flight C.
In Flight C singles, Charlotte's Courtney Clifford lost to Wyoming's Megan Williams, 7-5, 6-3.
In Flight D singles, Charlotte's Stacie Luders lost to Furman's Shannon Moore, 6-3, 6-1.
In Flight D singles, Charlotte's Megan Bullins lost to Middle Tennessee State's Laura McNamara, 6-0, 6-1.
In Flight A doubles, Charlotte's Swain and Morris lost to College of Charleston's Bajrambasic and Jantii, 8-1. Then, they lost to Middle Tennessee State's Klaschka and McNamara, 8-1.
In Flight A doubles, Charlotte's Hatch and Murray lost to College of Charleston's Goffin and Matrka, 8-1. Then, they defeated Wyoming's Gyulai and Chien, 8-5.
In Flight B doubles, Charlotte's Clark and Clifford lost to UNC Greensboro's LaCoste and Kannon, 8-2. Then, they defeated Davidson's Borkowski and Jones, 8-6.
