FORT WORTH, TX - The Charlotte 49ers women's tennis team lost to East Carolina, 4-0, in their second match at the Conference USA Tournament. With the loss the 49ers finish the season tied for 13th place in Conference USA. Charlotte finished with an 8-15 record on the season.

East Carolina won two doubles matches to claim the doubles point. In number one doubles, Charlotte's Alice Hansen and Laura Swain defeated East Carolina's Kohl and Spears, 8-3. In number two doubles, Charlotte's Lauren Hastings and Jennifer Hatch lost to East Carolina's Sierpinski and Jordan, 8-0. In number three doubles, Charlotte's Courtney Clifford and Stacie Luders lost to East Carolina's Baicu and Meilicke, 8-4.

In singles action, at number one singles, Charlotte's Laura Swain and East Carolina's Baicu had their match suspended with Baicu leading 6-2, 4-5. In number two singles, Charlotte's Alice Hansen lost to East Carolina's Jordan, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1. In number three singles, Charlotte's Jana Cucciniello and East Carolina's Sierpinski had their match suspended with Cucciniello leading 6-2, 4-5. In number four singles, Charlotte's Jennifer Hatch and East Carolina's Spears had their match suspended with Spears leading 1-6, 6-4, 2-0. In number five singles, Charlotte's Lauren Hastings lost to East Carolina's Kohl, 6-1, 6-1. In number six singles, Charlotte's Stacie Luders lost to East Carolina's Meilicke, 6-4, 6-2.
