HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Charlotte, the 12th seed, lost to the fifth seed Houston, 4-0, in the first round of the Conference USA Tournament.

In number one singles, Charlotte's Alice Hansen lost to Houston's Sarah Borwell, 6-0, 6-2.

In number two singles, Charlotte's Lauren Hastings lost to Houston's Jen Baccarani, 6-0, 6-0.

In number three singles, Charlotte's Stacie Luders and Houston's Jo Keen did not finish their match. Keen was leading, 6-2, 3-1.

In number four singles, Charlotte's Bailey Gainey and Houston's Kailey Meisinger did not finish their match. Meisinger was leading, 7-5, 2-0.

In number five singles, Charlotte's Kelly Rue and Houston's Karine Urbin did not finish. Urbin was leading 6-3, 2-2.

In number six singles, Charlotte's Alison Lacy lost to Houston's Sarah Flood, 6-1, 6-1.

In number one doubles, Charlotte's Hastings and Luders lost to Houston's Borwell and Rapp, 8-1.

In number two doubles, Charlotte's Gainey and Hansen lost to Houston's FLood and Urbin, 8-3.

In number three doubles, Charlotte's Rue and Lacy lost to Houston's Baccarani and Meisinger, 8-2.

Charlotte will face ninth seed Saint Louis in the back-draw of the tournament, Friday, April 20 at 4 pm.
