CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte 49ers women's tennis team lost to Coastal Carolina, 6-1. Te team returns to action, Wednesday, April 10 when they host Elon.

Coastal Carolina won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. In number one doubles, Charlotte's Alice Hansen and Laura Swain lost to Coastal Carolina's Kidd and Matrka, 8-3. In number two doubles, Charlotte's Jana Cucciniello and Jennifer Hatch lost to Coastal Carolina's Bajrambasic and Goffin, 8-3. In number three doubles, Charlotte's Courtney Clifford and Stacie Luders lost to Coastal Carolina's Koot and Lendemann, 8-5.

Coastal Carolina won five of the six singles matches. In number one singles, Charlotte's Swain lost to Coastal Carolina's Kidd, 6-2, 6-2. In number two singles, Charlotte's Hansen lost to Coastal Carolina's Bajrambasic, 6-2, 6-4. In number three singles, Charlotte's Cucciniello defeated Coastal Carolina's Lendemann, 6-2, 6-4. In number four singles, Charlotte's Hatch lost to Coastal Carolina's Goffin, 6-4, 6-2. In number five singles, Charlotte's Lauren Hastings lost to Coastal Carolina's Matrka, 6-2, 6-0. In number six singles, Charlotte's Luders lost to Coastal Carolina's Koot, 6-1, 6-2.
