Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers women's tennis team split the singles matches, but dropped the doubles point and fell to UNC Wilmington Sunday morning at the Phillips Complex. Charlotte is 4-10 on the season.
The doubles pair of Ana Spivakovsky and Yudeshnee Pillay improved to 11-2 with the lone doubles win for the Niners.
In singles play, Spivakovsky and Pillay both got to 14 wins with victories at number-one and number-two in the contest.
Freshman Gabi Vergara earned her third win of the season with a win at number-six.
Charlotte takes on Winthrop at home Wednesday at 2 p.m.
