BUIES CREEK, NC - The Charlotte 49ers women's tennis team dropped their third straight 4-3 decision at instate foe #64 Campbell.

Campbell won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. In number one doubles, Charlotte's Laura Swain and Ashleigh Murray lost to Campbell's Kerstin Stockinger and Carmen Linder, 8-4. In number two doubles, Charlotte's Jennifer Hatch and Lindsay Morris lost to Campbell's Pascale Veraverbeke and Isabel Declercq, 9-8. In number three doubles, Charlotte's Courtney Clifford and Megan Bullins lost to Campbell's Ingrid Stockinger and Lindsey Hughes, 9-7.

The two teams split the singles matches. In number one singles, Charlotte's Swain lost to Campbell's Kerstin Stockinger, 6-0, 6-4. In number two singles, Charlotte's Morris lost to Campbell's Linder, 6-3, 6-4. In number three singles, Charlotte's Murray defeated Campbell's Veraverbeke, 6-2, 7-6. In number four singles, Charlotte's Marilyn Clark lost to Campbell's Declercq, 6-2, 6-3. In number five singles, Charlotte's Hatch defeated Campbell's Ingrid Stockinger, 0-6, 6-2, 6-4. In number six singles, Charlotte's Clifford defeated Campbell's Colen Gore, 6-0, 6-0.
