Auburn, AL - The Charlotte women's tennis team lost on the road to Auburn, 7-0. The 49ers will continue their weekend road trip through Alabama at Conference USA rival UAB, Sunday, February 24.

Auburn won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. In number one doubles, Charlotte's Alice Hansen and Laura Swain lost to Auburn's Katia Illarionova and Carolina Maurer, 8-0. In number two doubles, Charlotte's Jana Cucciniello and Jennifer Hatch lost to Auburn's Carolina Ramirez and Petra Bercik, 8-1. In number three doubles, Charlotte's Stacie Luders and Lauren Hastings lost to Auburn's Liz Sauerborn and Sarah Suitor, 8-1.

Auburn won all six singles matches. In number one singles, Charlotte's Alice Hansen lost to Auburn's Illarionova, 6-3, 6-2. In number two singles, Charlotte's Laura Swain lost to Auburn's Ramirez, 6-2, 6-0. In number three singles, Charlotte's Jana Cucciniello lost to Auburn's Bercik, 6-0, 6-1. In number four singles, Charlotte's Jennifer Hatch lost to Auburn's Maurer, 6-2, 6-1. In number five singles, Charlotte's Lauren Hastings lost to Auburn's Suitor, 6-0, 6-2. In number six singles, Charlotte's Courtney Clifford lost to Auburn's Sauerborn, 6-2, 6-0.
