CLEMSON, SC - The Charlotte 49ers women's tennis team lost to #29 Clemson, 7-0, on the road. With the loss the 49ers fall to 1-2 on the season.

Clemson won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. In number one doubles, Charlotte's Ashleigh Murray and Laura Swain lost to Clemson's Julie Coin and Laurence Jayet, 8-1. In number two doubles, Charlotte's Jennifer Hatch and Lindsay Morris lost to Clemson's Alix Lacelarie and Ana Stiglic, 8-5. In number three doubles, Charlotte's Marilyn Clark and Courtney Clifford lost to Clemson's Daniela Alvarez and Richele LeSaldo, 8-1.

Clemson won all six singles matches. In number one singles, Charlotte's Swain lost to Clemson Coin, who is ranked #23 in the ITA national singles rankings, 6-0, 6-2. In number two singles, Charlotte's Morris lost to Lacelarie, 6-3, 6-4. In number three singles, Charlotte's Murray lost to Clemson's Stiglic, 6-1, 6-4. In number four singles, Charlotte's Clark lost to Clemson's Alvarez, 6-0, 6-0. In number four singles, Charlotte's Hatch lost to Clemson's Jayet, 6-1, 6-0. In number six singles, Charlotte's Megan Bullins lost to Clemson' Ioana Paun, 6-0, 6-0.
