Greenville, SC - Charlotte falls to Furman 7-0 in women's tennis action.

Charlotte falls to 2-1 on the season.

Charlotte's number one seed Alice Hansen retired in the second set of her match against Furman's Meredith Moore. Moore led the match 6-0, 1-0 at that point.

Number two seed Lauren Hastings fell to Furman's Gene Holman 6-0, 6-0.

Number three seed Stacie Luders lost to Furman's Emelie Isaksson 6-1, 6-1.

Number four seed Bailey Gainey lost to Furman's Natalie The 7-5, 6-2.

Number five seed Kelly Rue lost to Furman's McCall Holman 6-0, 6-2.

Number six seed Ali Lacy lost to Furman's Shellie Cochran 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles action, Charlotte's number one team of Hansen and Hastings lost 8-1 to Furman's Megan Dunigan and Meredith Moore.

Number two doubles team of Gainey and Rue lost to Furman's The and Thomson 8-1.

Number three doubles team of Lacy and Luders lost to Furman's Isaksson and Welch 8-4.
