CHICAGO - Eighth-ranked DePaul completed a three-game sweep of its series with Charlotte on Saturday, shutting out the 49ers, 7-0, at Wish Field. Lindsay Chouinard pitched a one-hitter for the Blue Demons, who have now won 18 in a row.

Chouinard led DePaul (34-4, 17-1 C-USA) to the win, striking out 11 with only one walk over seven innings. Karianne Huffstetler had delivered the lone hit for Charlotte (13-27,4-16 C-USA), a single.

The game remained scoreless until the fifth, when the Blue Demons' Sarah Martz and Saskia Roberson came home on a Katy Kukman double. DePaul scored again in the sixth off of five hits. After Amy Morse gave up a pair of runs, Roberson delivered the final blow with a three-run blast over the right field fence off reliever Dana Bowers. Chouinard improved to 22-3 with the win, while Morse dropped to 4-14.

The loss concludes Charlotte's two week road trip. The 49ers return home to host Winthrop on Wednesday before ending the season with a three-game series against UAB next weekend.
