CHICAGO - No. 8 DePaul swept the Charlotte 49ers softball team in a doubleheader Friday afternoon at Wish Field. Lindsay Chouinard threw a perfect game in game one as the Blue Demons picked up a 6-0 win. The 49ers didn't fair much better in the second game, falling 15-1, in five innings.

in game one, Chouinard led DePaul (33-4, 16-1 C-USA) to the win, not allowing a single batter to reach base in seven innings. She also recorded nine strikeouts and improved to 21-3 with the win. Amy Morse took the loss for Charlotte (13-26, 4-15 C-USA), falling to 4-12 on the season.

It was the Blue Demons' offense that did in the 49ers in game two. Already up 2-0, Christina Douglas delivered the big hit for the Blue Demons, a home run to left with the bases loaded. The Niners did get on the board in the game, when Denise Atmar scored on Sam Moore's hit in the third inning. Sarah Martz picked up the win, upping her record to 12-1. Morse took the loss and fell to 4-13.

DePaul plays Charlotte again on Saturday for the final game of the series. Play begins at Noon at Wish Field.
