CHICAGO - DePaul's pitchers made hits hard to come by for the second-straight day as Charlotte's softball team fell to the Blue Demons, 9-0, Sunday afternoon at Wish Field.
Even with it snowing at times, DePaul (17-7-1, 3-0 C-USA) held their opponent to a pair of hits in the win. Charlotte (10-11, 0-3 C-USA) received hits from Kristy Contantino and Stephanie Dunlap. Dunlap also walked once to reach base. Lindsay Chouinard pitched four innings with five strikeouts to earn her seventh win of the season. The 49ers' Dana Bowers took the loss and fell to 3-2 on the season.
The Niners return to action Wednesday, March 28, when the team plays a doubleheader at Furman. Next weekend, Charlotte plays their first conference home games, hosting Louisville in a three-game series.
