CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Saint Louis pitcher Nicole Bohnenstiehl allowed just three hits and added a solo home run as the Billikens defeated Charlotte, 5-0, in Conference USA softball action, Sunday.

Saint Louis scored two runs in the first, one in the second and one in the third to give Bohnenstiehl all the support she needed. She added her solo homer in the seventh to close out the scoring.

The 49ers comitted two errors, leading to three unearned runs.

The victory completed a three-game sweep for Saint Louis, which won a doubleheader on Saturday, 9-1; 9-6.

The 49ers got hits from Lynne LaPorte, Mel Thevenote and Denise Atmar. Bohnenstiehl had nine strike outs in posting the shutout.
