ROCK HILL, S.C. - The softball team split a pair of games on the final day of the Winthrop Tournament Sunday. After defeating Radford, 5-2, in game one, the 49ers fell to Towson, 3-1, in the second game.

Against Radford, Charlotte (10-8) took a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning before adding four more in the seventh. Dana Bowers pitched her way to her second straight victory and improved to 3-1 on the year. The win over the Highlanders was the team's 10th this season.
