Charlotte, N.C. - Sophomore Amy Morse threw a three-hit shutout in game two as the Charlotte 49ers completed a two-game sweep of Appalachian State, 2-1, 1-0.

The 49ers scored two runs in the second inning of game one and Betsy Thompson scattered four hits as the 49ers won the opener, 2-1.

In game two, Kiley Scott went two-for-three and Morse struck out six for the shutout. Stephanie Dunlap drove home the lone run on a single in the third.

Amber Handy had two hits for ASU (2-13) in the nightcap.

The 49ers (3-1) travel to North Carolina for a tournament this weekend.
