The Hokies used a seven-run uprising in game two, sending 13 players to the plate in the final inning, to capture the sweep. Second baseman Kathleen Jones led the Hokies attack with two doubles and two RBI. The 49ers had taken a 1-0 lead on an RBI single by second baseman Denise Atmar in the second but Virginia Tech tied it in the sixth when Megan Evans scored on Maura Green's sacrifice fly to left.
