RALEIGH, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers softball team split a pair of games on the second day of the Triangle Classic.

In the first game, Charlotte (2-2) fell to UNC Greensboro, 5-2.

The loss sent the Niners into the consolation bracket, where they beat UMBC, 3-2. Amy Morse picked up her first win of the season for the 49ers.

Charlotte returns to action on Sunday, when they play Temple at 10:00.
