Women's Soccer's Duncan Named Third-Team Academic All-America

Duncan becomes the eighth Charlotte 49ers student-athlete to be named Academic All-America

CHARLOTTE, NC - Charlotte 49ers women's soccer player Lindsay Duncan (Lilburn, GA/Providence Christian Academy) was named third-team Academic All-America by CoSIDA. She is the eighth Charlotte student-athlete to be named Academic All-America.

Duncan, a first-team all-academic District III selection earlier this season, has a 4.0 GPA in communications. She finished her career with 11 goals, 11 assists and 33 points. She scored five game-winning goals in her career.

Duncan is the first Charlotte women's soccer player to be named Academic All-America. Duncan joins former 49ers Craig Brown (men's soccer, 1986), Chris Mark (men's tennis, 1992-93), Jim Kunevicius (men's soccer, 1997, 1998), Tiffany Howard (softball, 1998), Karin Levin (outdoor track and field, 2001), Jobey Thomas (men's basketball, 2002) and Ola Jonsson (men's tennis, 2002) as an Academic All-American.
