Dumencich Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

This marks the first time that Dumencich, the 2005 A-10 Rookie of the Year, has earned A-10 Player of the Week honors

Oct. 22, 2007

Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers women's soccer junior forward Nikki Dumencich (Greensboro, NC/Western Guilford) was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for her performance in the 49ers road win at Dayton, Sunday. The 49ers have had a player named A-10 Player of the Week in three of the last four weeks as Dumencich joins Sam Huecker (October 15) and Lindsey Ozimek (October 1) as 49ers that have earned A-10 Player of the Week honors this month.

Dumencich scored both of Charlotte's goals in their 2-1 win at Dayton. Dumencich's two goals were her first multiple goals of the season and the second of her career.

Dumencich's three goals this season have given her 15 career goals which moved her into tenth place on the program's career goals scoring list.

Dumencich, Huecker, Ozimek and the rest of the 49ers women's soccer team host Atlantic 10 foes Massachusetts and Rhode Island in their final two regular-season home games this weekend, October 26-28.
