Women's Soccer Remains Unbeaten With 4-0 Win Over DePaul

The #15 Charlotte 49ers women's soccer team (11-0-1, C-USA 5-0-1) continued their winning streak with a shutout of Conference USA foe Depaul, 4-0. Senior goalkeeper Jenn Howell had five saves in recording her second shutout of the season.

"We played in tough conditions today and the first half we took some time to get our engines running." Charlotte Coach Neil Roberts said. "But I do believe that the best team won."

Sophomore Kim Miles scored the first goal of the game off an assist from freshman Lindsey Palmiero at the 31:40 mark of the match. Junior Jill Hayes made the score 2-0 with a goal into the top corner of the net off an assist from freshman Courtney Crandell at the 52:45 mark. Junior Lindsay Duncan and Crandell scored the remaining two goals. Crandell's goal was her 15 of the season..

The 49ers will return to action, Friday October 18 when they host C-USA rival East Carolina at 7:00 pm at Transamerica Field.
