Whitney Weinraub Named to Soccer Buzz's National Elite Team of the Week

Weinraub, who leads the A-10 in goals, has scored all five of her goals in the last three games

Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers women's soccer sophomore forward Whitney Weinraub was named to Soccer Buzz's National Elite Team of the Week after her performance against Ohio State and Pittsburgh last week. She is the first 49er to earn Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week honors since Lindsey Ozimek was named to the team, October, 3, 2007.

This week, she also earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors for the second straight week.

Weinraub earned her second straight A-10 Player of the Week award after scoring the game-winning goal in the 49ers 1-0 victory at Pittsburgh, Sunday. She also scored the 49ers goal in their 1-1 double overtime tie at Ohio State last Friday.

She currently leads the team with five goals and 11 points.

Weinraub and the rest of the 49ers women's soccer team return to action against ACC foes #14Wake Forest and Virginia Tech in the Wake Forest Nike Tournament this weekend, September 12-14.
