LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The women's soccer team behind a Jill Currie goal and two assists defeated Louisville 3-0 in Conference USA women's soccer action.
"I thought we played good especially in the second half," Charlotte coach Neil Roberts said. "I thought we controlled much of the game. I think we have a lot confidence as a team heading into our match with Cincinnati."
Charlotte scored first when Currie connected on a goal at the 8:59 mark off assists from Dawn Geyer and Sarah Judy. Currie's goal was her fourth in the last two games. This goal marked her 30th career goal which ties her with Christina Papp for second on Charlotte's all-time goals list.
Meredith Mayo scored Charlotte's second goal off assists from Currie and Dawn Geyer at the 51:03 mark.
Lindsay Duncan scored her first career goal off a Currie assist at the 51:48 mark to close out the scoring.
Goalkeeper Andrea Kollmorgen recorded her first career complete game shutout as she had a career-high seven saves.
Charlotte outshot Louisville 27-8.
Charlotte returns to action as they face Conference USA rival Cincinnati, Sunday, October 22.
