CHICAGO - Charlotte women's soccer behind two Dawn Geyer goals defeats DePaul 4-1 on a muddy field in Conference USA action.

Charlotte improves to 7-3-2 overall and 5-1 in Conference USA. While, DePaul falls to 5-8-1 overall and 0-5-1 in Conference USA.

Charlotte took a 1-0 lead when Jennie Leeder scored her fourth goal of the season off an assist from Lindsay Duncan at the 9:42 mark.

DePaul tied the match at 1-1 when Ogonnaya Dotson-Newman scored at the 17:24 mark.

Charlotte would then score three goals in a ten minute stretch of the second half took command of the match.

Geyer scored her first goal off assists from Kim Moore and Mikel Casey on a free kick to take a 2-1 lead.

Then, Abbie Allison scored off an assist from Leslie Canales at the 78:38 mark of the match.

Then, Geyer scored her second goal of the match off assists from Duncan and Christy Johnson at the 83:46 mark of the match.

Charlotte goalkeeper Jenn Howell recorded three saves on 12 DePaul shots in the match.

Charlotte returns to action when they host instate rival ACC foe NC State, Tuesday, October 16 at 7 pm at Transamerica Field.
