Three-time A-10 Champs Announce 2009 Schedule

7/9/2009 - The nationally-ranked Charlotte 49ers women's soccer team, who have won three straight A-10 regular-season and two straight A-10 Tournament titles, face another challenging schedule in 2009 which culminates with Atlantic 10 Championships returning to Charlotte's Transamerica Field, November 5-8. The 49ers play 11 regular-season homes games highlighted by non-conference games against 2008 NCAA Tournament participant Georgia, ACC foe NC State and Big East foe Villanova as well as A-10 home games against Duquesne, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Richmond and George Washington. Charlotte returns 10 starters and 21 letterwinners off a 2008 team which won a school-record 18 games including a perfect 11-0 mark in the A-10 and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Beam, Bryant, Weinraub and Rovito Earn Preseason All-Atlantic 10 Honors

7/1/2009 - Four members of the Charlotte 49ers nationally-ranked women's soccer team earned preseason All-Atlantic 10 honors. Senior midfielder Hailey Beam and juniors forward Whitney Weinraub and defender Whitney Bryant were named to the preseason All-Atlantic 10 team. While freshman defender/forward Taylor Rovito was named to the preseason A-10 All-Rookie team. The preseason All-Atlantic 10 teams were selected by a vote of the league's 14 head coaches. Three-time A-10 Champs Participated In the Campus Clean Up Day, April 14

4/20/2009 - The nationally-ranked Charlotte 49ers women's soccer team, which has captured three straight A-10 titles, joined many others from the UNC Charlotte community in the Campus Clean-Up Day, Tuesday, April 14. The women's soccer team were part of the 200 volunteers that helped collect over 700 pounds of garbage and 100 pounds of recyclables on April 14. Read Full Release
