Dallas, TX - Charlotte 49ers women's basketball coach Karen Aston joined 150 of her fellow women's basketball coaches in the inaugural 4Kay Charity Golf Classic at the Cowboys Club, Monday, September 8. The Golf Classic's purpose was to raise money and awareness for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA)/Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

Aston joined many of her friends and colleagues as they played golf to raise money for the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund which is in a partnership with The V Foundation. The Golf Classic was also a way to show support for N.C. State head coach Kay Yow who is battling breast cancer.

Joining Aston in the Classic were her former boss and mentor Hall-of-Famer former Texas coach Jody Conradt as well Connecticut's Geno Auriemma, Tennessee's Pat Summitt, Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self, Minnesota men's basketball coach Tubby Smith and ESPN broadcaster Nancy Lieberman.
