Sabrina Gregory was named athlete of the week after scoring 36 points in leading the 49ers to two blowout Atlantic 10 victories this past weekend which moved the women's basketball team into a tie for first place in the Atlantic 10.

The sophomore guard tied her career-high with 20 points on 10-for-13 shooting from the field in the 49ers 81-50 home victory over Saint Joseph's, last Friday.

Then, she led the 49ers with 16 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the field in Charlotte's 86-57 road win at Saint Louis, last Sunday;.

In the two 49ers victories, she scored 36 points on 18-for-23 shooting from the field. She tallied 11 assists in the two games.

Gregory and the rest of the 49ers women's basketball team puts their four game winning streak on the line when they host Richmond, Friday, January 27 at 7 pm. Then, they host Atlantic 10 Conference co-leader La Salle, Sunday, January 29 at 12 pm.
