GREENVILLE, N.C. - Charlotte (9-5, 1-0 C-USA) takes on East Carolina (8-6, 0-1 C-USA) for the second-straight week, traveling to Greenville to play the Pirates Sunday afternoon at 2:00. The 49ers enter this week's meeting in the midst of a three-game win streak. The Niners have won their last three by an average of 28.3 points. On Jan. 10, Charlotte beat East Carolina, 83-57, at Halton Arena. The Pirates have won three of their last four games. Earlier this week, they beat Campbell at home, 72-45.

Charlotte leads the series with East Carolina by a 17-6 count. The Pirates won last year's meeting at Minges Coliseum, 62-57. The 49ers are 6-4 all-time in Greenville. Their last win there was in 1997-98, a 45-41 win.

Last Time Out: Charlotte won their third straight, defeating East Carolina, 83-57, in its Conference USA opener. Pam Brown led the way with 21 points. She finished 8-of-11 from the field to help the team shoot over 50 percent for the second time in their last three games. Alicia Abernathy and Peaches Harris also topped double figures with 15 and 14, respectively. Andrea Davidson had a big night on the boards, pulling down a game-high 10 rebounds. Up two, 12-10, after the first media timeout, the 49ers went on an 11-2 run to break the game open.

Up Next For The Niners: After East Carolina, Charlotte travels to Texas to play at Houston and TCU next weekend. The series between the 49ers and Cougars are tied at 4-4. The teams last met in the C-USA Tournament, where Houston ended Charlotte's season with a 68-65 victory. The Niners won their only previous game against the Horned Frogs, 81-67, last year at Halton Arena.
