Washington, DC - The Charlotte 49ers (13-8, A-10: 4-1) despite double-figure scoring games from Erin Floyd and Shannon McCallum had their seven-game winning streak end with a 76-54 loss at #17 George Washington Colonials (16-4, A-10: 4-1).
"George Washington really came out ready to play today," Charlotte coach Karen Aston said. "They made shots early which got them into a rhythm. They were a better team than we were today."
Floyd paced the 49ers with 14 points including a three-point basket. While McCallum recorded her seventh double-figure scoring game off the bench with 10 points.
The main highlight of the game for the 49ers is that their bench outscored George Washington's bench, 23-9.

However, George Washington would score six straight points to take the lead for good.
