CINCINNATI - Cincinnati had four players reach double figures in scoring on their way to a 69-48 win over the Charlotte 49ers women's basketball team Sunday afternoon at the Shoemaker Center.

Valerie King was the top scorer for Cincinnati (14-4, 4-3 C-USA) with 15 points, including seven from the free throw line in the second half. Tonya Phifer led Charlotte (5-11, 1-5 C-USA) with 16 points. Adrienne Jordan blocked eight shots for the Niners, one shy of the school record.

The Bearcats were up seven, 27-20, at halftime then opened the second stanza with a 13-2 run to pull away from the 49ers.

Charlotte's next game is Friday, Jan. 26, when they host Marquette at 7:00 in Halton Arena.
