LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Four players scored in double figures to lead Louisville to a 69-51 win over the Charlotte 49ers women's basketball team Friday night at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

Marju Sober paced Louisville (10-7, 5-1 C-USA) with a game-high 19 points. Kara Kessans and Carol Brown scored 13 each, while Shamika Ingram added 10. Tonya Phifer and Peaches Harris finished in double figures for Charlotte (5-10, 1-4 C-USA) with 17 and 12 points, respectively.

The 49ers closed to within six, 39-33, on a Phifer three-pointer with 13:00 to play, but the Cardinals went on a 9-0 run to thwart the Niners' rally and put the game out of reach. Louisville built their lead to 26 with a Tiana Ford free throw with 2:08 remining before Charlotte ended the game with an 8-0 run.

The Niners continue their road trip Sunday, when they play at Cincinnati at 3:00. Charlotte's next home game is Friday, Jan. 26 versus Marquette at 7:00 in Halton Arena.
