         <description><![CDATA[The Charlotte 49ers women's basketball coaching staff, who guided the 49ers to 23 wins, an A-10 Tournament Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament this season, took some time off this week to attend the Pro-Am at the Quail Hollow Championship, Wednesday, August 29. Before the hectic summer months of camps and recruiting begin the coaching staff took in some of the Golf Tournament at the Quail Hollow Country Club.. They saw numerous celebrities including Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Peyton Manning as well as Tiger Woods. Basketball legend Dr. J. Earning a spot on this year's NCCSIA All-State first-team was senior center Danielle Burgin. With the selection, Burgin captured her second NCCSIA All-State honor as she earned second-team honors as a sophomore in 2007.
