Philadelphia, Pa. - Charlotte freshman Michael Anders was named first-team All-Atlantic 10, senior Felix Bernhoerster landed on the second team and Brad Clinard was selected to the All-Academic team for men's tennis, league officials announced.

Anders was Charlotte's top singles performer in the spring season, finishing with a 13-7 record, including a 3-0 record in conference matches. Overall, he was 5-4 at number-three singles and 6-2 in the number-four spot in the lineup.

Bernhoerster played up at number-one this season due to injuries and was a positive influence and leader among the young roster. He and younger brother Moritz finished 8-9 as a tandem in doubles play. He helped Charlotte finish the season with a key win, beating Richmond's number-one player Doug Banker in the opening match of the A-10 Championships.

Clinard battled injuries and was a clutch performer later in the season. He was able to keep up his grades while playing and rehabbing, keeping a 4.0 grade point average in Economics. He finished the season with four singles victories and 10 wins in doubles play.

After leading Xavier to its first-ever Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship, junior Doug Matthews was named the A-10 men's tennis Most Outstanding Performer, Yan Levinski of George Washington was named Most Outstanding Rookie Performer and Xavier head coach Eric Toth was tabbed as Coach of the Year. The American studies major won 10 of his final 16 matches of the season.
