CHAPEL HILL, NC - The Charlotte men's tennis team is competing in the Top of the Hill Classic in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This is the 49ers first tournament of the fall.
In Flight 1 singles, Charlotte's Arturo Aguirre lost to Winthrop's Almadia, 6-4, 6-2. In Flight 1 singles, Charlotte's Marlo Santoso lost to Heinberg, 5-7, 6-3, 6-2.
In Flight 2 singles, Charltote's Jonathan Vencatachellum lost to Charleston's Peller, 6-3, 6-3. In Flight 2 singles, Charlotte's David Bolin lost to North Carolina's Janja, 6-2 6-2.
In Flight 3 singles, Charlotte's Jonathan Clark lost to North Carolina's Metzler, 6-2, 6-0. In Flight 3 singles, Charlotte's Stuart Lynas lost to Radford's Johnson, 2-6, 7-5, 6-2. In Flight 3 singles, Charlotte's Christofer Boman lost to North Carolina's Aiken, 7-5, 6-3.
In Flight 4 singles, Charlotte's Jean-Michel Werk won his first round match by default.
In Flight 1 doubles, Charlotte's Bolin and Santoso lost to North Carolina's Monroe and Pinchbeck, 8-0. Then, they defeated Radford's Zeon and Johnson, 8-3, in the consolation bracket.
In Flight 2 doubles, Charlotte's Aguirre and Lynas lost to Wake Forest's Brendan and Simpson, 9-7. Then, they lost to Radford's Arhammer and Cavaco, 9-8, in the consolation bracket.
In Flight 3 doubles, Charlotte's Boman and Vencatachellum lost to North Carolina's Janja and Palmeroy, 8-2. Then, they defeated Davidson's Britt and Mullin, 8-3, in the consolation bracket.
