NEW ORLEANS - Charlotte defeated UAB, 4-2, in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA Tournament. This marked the second time that Charlotte has defeated UAB in the Conference USA Tournament.

In number one singles, Charlotte's Ola Jonsson and UAB's Andre van der Merwe did not finish their match. Jonsson was leading the match 5-7, 6-4, 4-1.

In number two singles, Charlotte's Jacob Nordwall defeated UAB's Tom Dalby, 6-2, 6-2.

In number three singles, Charlotte's Joakim Peterson defeated UAB's Alex Jung, 7-5, 7-5.

In number four singles, Charlotte's Thomas Oggesen defeated UAB's Alan Ambrose, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.

In number five singles, Charlotte's Simon Dawson lost to UAB's Sanzaruz Zaman, 6-2, 6-1.

In number six singles, Charlotte's Jonathan McGovern lost to UAB's Niklas Lindstrom, 6-2, 6-3.

In number one doubles, Charlotte's Nordwall and Peterson defeated UAB's Jung and Daly, 8-6.

In number two doubles, Charlotte's Jonsson and Oggesen defeated UAB's Walker and Ambrose, 8-1.

In number three doubles, Charlotte's McGovern and Dawson and UAB's van der Merwe and Zaman did not finish. UAB was leading that match, 7-8.

Charlotte will face the second seed Tulane in the Conference USA Tournament semifinals, Saturday, April 21 at 1 pm.
