ELON COLLEGE, N.C. - Charlotte defeated Elon, 5-2, in collegiate men's tennis.

The 49ers are currently ranked #58 in the latest ITA poll. They are the third highest ranked Conference USA team behind South Florida and Tulane.

In number one singles, Charlotte's Ola Jonsson lost to Elon's Remy Nagel, 6-3, 6-1.

In number two singles, Charlotte's Jacob Nordwall defeated Elon's Chai Navawongse, 6-3, 6-0.

In number three singles, Charlotte's Joakim Peterson defeated Elon's Richard Dutton, 6-2, 6-0.

In number four singles, Charlotte's Thomas Oggesen defeated Elon's Justin Roberson, 6-2, 6-4.

In number five singles, Charlotte's David Bolin lost to Elon's Peter Van Grafailano, 6-2, 6-4.

In number six singles, Charlotte's Jonathan McGovern defeated Elon's Mike Prekec, 2-6, 6-0, 6-1.

In number one doubles, Charlotte's Nordwall and Peterson lost to Elon's Navawongse and Nagel, 8-5.

In number two doubles, Charlotte's Oggesen and Jonsson defeated Elon's Dutton and Roberson, 8-5.

In number three doubles, Charlotte's McGovern and Simon Dawson defeated Elon's Prekec and Nick Belutty, 8-4.
