CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte won their third straight match as they defeated UNC Greensboro 4-3. The 49ers improved to 5-2 on the season.
Charlotte won two out of three doubles matches to capture the doubles point. Charlotte also won three of the six singles matches to win the match 4-3.
In number one singles, Charlotte's Ola Jonsson lost to UNC Greensboro's Tony Mule, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
In number two singles, Charlotte's Jacob Nordwall defeated UNC Greensboro's John Clark, 6-0, 6-0.
In number three singles, Charlotte's Joakim Peterson defeated UNC Greensboro's Marcio Torres, 6-2, 6-0.
In number four singles, Charlotte's Thomas Oggesen defeated UNC Greensboro's Paul Goode in the decisive match, 1-6, 6-3, 7-6.
In number five singles, Charlotte's David Bolin lost to UNC Greensboro's Diego Goya, 6-2, 6-1.
In number six singles, Charlotte's Jonathan McGovern lost to UNC Greensboro's Tanner Haddon, 6-4, 6-2.
Charlotte won two of the three doubles matches.
In number one doubles, Charlotte's Jonsson and Oggesen lost to UNC Greensboro's Mule and Torres, 8-6.
In number two doubles, Charlotte's Nordwall and Peterson defeated UNC Greensboro's Goya and Haddon, 8-4.
In number three doubles, Charlotte's Simon Dawson and McGovern defeated UNC Greensboro's Bo McIntyre and Goode, 8-6.
Charlotte returns to action when they battle instate rival NC State on the road, Saturday, March 3 at 1 pm.
