Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers men's soccer junior forward Chris Salvaggione (Monument, CO/Gardner-Webb University) earned two postseason honors after being named first-team All-Atlantic 10 last month. He was named second-team NSCAA/adidas All-Mid-Atlantic Region and to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) University Division All-State team.

This season, Salvaggione led the A-10 in assists with nine. He finished the season tied for third in the A-10 with a team-leading eight goals while leading the league in game-winning goals with four. Salvaggione's team-leading 25 points, which was the second highest total in the A-10, is the most points by a 49er in a season since David Hughes amassed 25 points (10 goals and five assists) in 1997. Salvaggione was named A-10 Player of the Week after scoring two goals and contributing an assist in Charlotte's 3-0 win at Central Florida, October 3.

Salvaggione's All-Mid-Atlantic region selection makes it four straight seasons that the 49ers have had at least one player earn NSCAA All-Region honors.

Salvaggione is the fifth different 49ers to earn NCCSIA All-State honors joining former 49ers stalwarts Evan Harding, Floyd Franks, Adam Ruud and Joe Lampert on the team. The NCCSIA All-State team consists of NCAA Division I student-athletes from North Carolina colleges and universities. Nominees were submitted by North Carolina sports information professionals. NCCSIA members voted for the all-state teams.
