Chris Salvaggione Earns Several Weekly Honors

Salvaggione was named A-10 Player of the Week as well as to College Soccer News National Team of the Week

Charlotte, NC - Senior forward Chris Salvaggione of the Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team earned several weekly honors after scoring four goals in the 49ers victories over Duquesne and St. Bonaventure this past weekend. Salvaggione was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for the second time this season and third time in his career. He also was named to College Soccer News,Soccer America and Topdrawersoccer.com for the second time this season.

Salvaggione scored two goals including the game-winning goal in the 49ers 3-2 win over Duquesne, Friday. In his final regular-season home game, he scored two goals including the game-winning goal in the 49ers 4-0 win over St. Bonaventure, Sunday.

Salvaggione currently leads the Atlantic 10 in goals with 15 and points with 37. Salvaggione's 15 goals are the fourth most scored by a 49er in a single-season in the program's history. He is tied for first in the A-10 with six game-winning goals. He is third in the A-10 with seven assists.

Salvaggione and the rest of the 49ers men's soccer team concludes the regular-season at Atlantic 10 foes Rhode Island and Massachusetts, November 7-9.
