Charlotte, NC - The Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team (9-5-1, A-10: 3-2-1) puts their four-game unbeaten streak on the line when they host Atlantic 10 foes Temple and Saint Joseph's in their final two home games this weekend, November 2-4. First, the 49ers battle Temple at Transamerica Field, Friday, November 2 at 7 pm. Then, the 49ers host Saint Joseph's in their final home game of the season, Sunday, November 4 at 1 pm.
Before the Saint Joseph's game, the 49ers will honor seniors Paul Begue, Tim Seibert, Graham Tatters and Tom Woollard who are playing their final home game at Transamerica Field.
The 49ers enter the game currently tied for fourth in the Atlantic 10 after posting a 3-0-1 record over the past two weekends. Charlotte's defense led by goalkeeper David Martin and Tatters have only allowed one goal during that stretch which has helped the 49ers get back into the A-10 race.
Chris Salvaggione is tied for the Atlantic 10 lead in goals with eight. Salvaggione also leads the A-10 in assists (7), points (23) and game-winning goals (4). Woollard is second on the team with a career-high five goals. He has also contributed four assists to the 49ers efforts this season. Will Shull, the reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week, is second on the team with six assists to go along with his three goals.
