Charlotte, NC - Charlotte 49ers men's soccer freshman midfielder Will Shull (Shelby, NC/Shelby HS) was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for his performance in the 49ers Atlantic 10 road wins at George Washington and Richmond this past weekend. Shull is the fifth different 49er to garner Atlantic 10 weekly honors this season. Luke Exley, David Martin, Chris Salvaggione and Tom Woollard have all earned A-10 Player of the Week honors this season. He is the first 49er to claim A-10 Rookie of the Week honors since Martin was named A-10 Rookie of the Week, October 9, 2006.

Shull assisted on the 49ers' first goal and then scored Charlotte's second goal in their 3-0 win at George Washington, Friday. Then, he assisted on the 49ers' second goal in their 2-0 win at Richmond, Sunday.

Shull's goal and two assists this past weekend moved him into third place on the team with 12 points. He is second on the team with six assists to go along with his three goals this season.

Shull and the rest of the 49ers men's soccer team put their three-game winning streak on the line when they host Temple and Saint Joseph's in their final two home games of the season this weekend, November 2-4.
