Evan Harding scored two goals in leading the 49ers to a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Birmingham Southern in the UAB/LaQuinta Classic this past weekend. He scored the game-tying goal halfway through the second half. Then, he scored the game-winning goal with 45 seconds left in regulation. For his efforts in the UAB/LaQuinta Classic, he earned All-Tournament honors.

Harding's two goals against Birmingham Southern were his first two of the season. Currently, he is second on the team in goals with two and points with four. After the Birmingham Southern game, he now has five career goals in his two seasons at Charlotte.

Harding and the rest of the 49ers men's soccer team have a busy week. They battle Winthrop on the road in a rescheduled game, Wednesday, September 22. Then, they host Conference USA foe Memphis at Transamerica Field, Saturday, September 25 at 7 pm.
