ST. LOUIS - The Charlotte men's soccer team shutout #11 Saint Louis 2-0 in Conference USA men's soccer action.
This marked Charlotte's first ever win at Saint Louis and only their second win ever against Saint Louis.
Charlotte scored their first goal when Juan Munoz-Airey connected on a goal scoring shot off a cross from C.J. Robinson at the 50:10 mark.
Charlotte scored their second goal when Chris Wargin scored from eight yards out off an assist from Rob Evitts at the 70:35 mark.
Robinson had several other goal scoring chances as one shot hit the goal post and another hit the crossbar in the second half.
Goalkeeper John McDonough recorded his third shutout of the season with a season-high nine saves.
"We have had several memorable wins in our program's history," Charlotte coach John Tart said. "To come into Saint Louis on their senior day in front of a big crowd and win was very memorable. I am extremely proud of our team. I am especially proud of John McDonough who kept us in the game with his goalkeeping."
Charlotte improved to 7-6-2 overall and concludes the Conference USA regular season with a 5-2-1 record.
