CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte men's soccer team behind a Stephen Miller second half defeated South Florida 2-1 in Conference USA men's soccer action.

Charlotte improves to 6-3-2 overall and 4-1-1 in Conference USA. While South Florida falls to 5-7 overall and 1-3 in Conference USA.

Charlotte scored first when Juan Munoz-Airey connected on a breakaway goal at the 16:33 mark of the match.

South Florida tied the score at 1-1 when Paul Scrivens scored off an assist from Aaron Ortega at the 50:48 mark.

Then, Charlotte took the lead for good when Stephen Miller headed the ball in the goal off a David Pedreschi corner kick at the 64:07 mark.

This marked Charlotte's first win over South Florida since a 4-2 win, September 27, 1996.

Charlotte returns to action at Conference USA rival Louisville, Wednesday, October 11.
