ELON COLLEGE, NC - The Charlotte men's soccer team fell to Elon 2-1 in non-conference men's soccer action.

Charlotte fell to 5-3-2 overall while Elon improved to 6-5 on the season.

Elon scored first when Duran Martin connected on a goal at the 37:10 mark of the match.

Then, Elon added their second goal of the match when Paul Bellacqua scored at the 64:48 mark.

Charlotte cut the Elon lead to 2-1 when Chris Wargin scored a breakaway goal off an assist from Rob Evitts at the 71:51 mark.

Charlotte returns to action this Sunday, October 8 at 2 pm when they host Conference USA rival South Florida.
