Final Stats

Davidson, NC - The Charlotte 49ers men's soccer lost to cross-town rival Davidson, 2-0.

Charlotte falls to 1-3-2 on the season. While Davidson improves to 5-1 on the season.

"We were outplayed tonight," Charlotte coach John Tart said. "They outplayed and outworked us. This was a very humiliating loss for our team."

Davidson scored the match's first goal when Erik Ozimek sent a scoring blast from about 30 yards out into the upper right corner of the goal with four and half minutes gone in the match.

Davidson increased their lead to 2-0 when Paul Watson scored off a Davidson corner kick with just over thirty seconds left in the first half.

Charlotte returns to action when they travel to Conference USA foe Cincinnati, Wednesday, September 26 at 7 pm.
