Charlotte, N.C. - Despite holding an 11-6 shot advantage at the half, the Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team fell 1-0 to in-state rival UNC Greensboro Wednesday evening, pushing its record back to 3-3-0. At the end of regulation, the Spartans enjoyed a 17-15 shot advantage.
"In the first half, I thought we played very well with possession going back and forth," head coach Jeremy Gunn said. "In the second half, though, we slipped as UNC Greensboro became more determined."
"In the end, we waited to see what would happen late in the game, while UNC Greensboro made things happen."
